The sun shined brightly as Florence began walking towards Rose’s room to wake her up, once she had reached the door she gently opened it and walked in. She slowly walked over to Rose and began slightly shaking her to make her wake up. Rose wiped the sleep out of her eyes and stood up, she stretched and then yawned. “Can you please pick me out a dress, any of them would do preferably a not so poofy one.”
“Yes mistress” Florence replied she opened Rose’s wardrobe and looked at it, she pulled out a purple dress that wasn’t too frilly but quite casual for a day out. Rose stood up as she was being dressed, Florence finished dressing her.
“Would you like some tea this morning? Or do you have any recommended breakfast meals?” She asked.
“No I don’t really have anything preferred but I could go for some muffins, chocolate ones, please. Also, I will take some tea,” Rose yawned.
Florence went downstairs to tell Samuel to fix the muffins and the tea, and about twenty minutes later Florence came to get Rose to come downstairs. Rose walked downstairs and went into the dining room, she sat down and waited for her food to be served. Florence came into the dining room with the food and tea, Rose took a sip of her tea, “Is this Earl Grey tea?”
“Yes, miss” Florence replied.
“Is the teacup made by Mau’s Chinese company?”
“You have a keen eye mistress, speaking of Mau he will be visiting you today. He will be accompanied by Mae-Lang, his girlfriend.”
Florence handed Rose the daily newspaper, “Thank you, Ru- Sorry, Florence” as Rose had begun to speak her name, Florence’s eyes glowed red for a quick second. Florence had stared into Rose’s brown eyes and licked her lips. Rose took a bite of one of her muffins, ”Oooh, this tastes sooo good!!” Her eyes lit up and she smiled brightly enjoying every single bite of every muffin.
Florence walked closer to Rose to whisper in her ear, “Please continue to enjoy every meal for one day one of your meals will be your last, and that last meal could be in a few years or whenever you decided.” a dark statement but true, Rose knew what she was getting into. A knock on the door could be heard distantly.
Rose backed out her chair and stood up pushing her chair in behind her. Samuel came and took her plate. Florence went and opened the door, turns out it was Mau. ‘Thank goodness I didn’t finish my tea, cause I would like to have Mau see what teacup brand I was using’ Rose thought, “Welcome Mau and Mae, come right in,” Rose giggled, as the two walked right in.
Mau smiled, Mae’s arm was wrapped over Mau’s arm. They padded towards the parlor and Mau sat down on a couch, Mae sitting on his lap. Mau smiled as he stroked Mae’s hair. Rose sighed, “So what did you come here to discuss?” She asked politely. “Surprisingly I didn't come to discuss business, I came here to talk to you about the recent murders”
“Oh those, do you have any leads?” Rose asked with a puzzled face. “Well, I have a few, one of them I know you have met,” Mau said, leaning forward a bit.
“Whom would this be?” She asked concerned.
“Michael is one of them, and I know you haven’t met them but a German invader named Flare, and she happens to be suspected too.”
“Maybe we should look for them later today. What is this german’s gender and are there any descriptions of what they look like?”
“It is she to start off, and she has long blonde hair and orange-red at the tips. She has blue eyes and wears a military-like uniform.” Mau described.
“Okay let’s go after her.”
“Of course, we will go after later, but I have other things I have to do first,” Rose said, Mau, nodded in agreement as he stood up. Mau and Mae left the manor.
Rose sighed, she was so overwhelmed by her work. Later in the evening Rose and Mau met up to go and find the killer. “Do you have any idea where she could be?” Rose asked Mau. “So far no, I do not have anything,” He replied. Florence sniffed the air and smelt blood, or what she thought to be the scent of blood.
Florence had started to walks towards the scent, she noticed it was coming from around the corner, there stood a girl, she had blood all over her but did not seem to have just killed someone but who had just witnessed a murder and she had gotten blood all over her. A normal person would look scared if they had just seen a murder take place but this woman didn’t seem phased.
Rose’s eyes widened as she had seen the blood, quickly Florence covered Rose’s eyes. Mau’s eyes jolted open, he saw the girl, “That is who we are looking for” he said to Florence and Rose. “Oh, so that is what she looks like, she doesn’t seem to have killed anyone, but had witnessed the murder” “What should we do?” Mau whispered.
