Lawrence had headed to his room and had settled down, planning to go to sleep soon. A few moments later Rose had finished her parfait and decided to go back up to her room and go back to bed, once Rose had entered her room and shut the door she laid down into her bed and wrapped herself in her blankets and finally fell asleep for the night.
Lawrence was just about to change out of his suit and go to bed. Florence walked upstairs and to her room where she changed out of the red dress she was wearing and into her usual maid outfit, she walked back down the steps as she slipped her gloves back on.
Florence had seen Samuel passing by from the corner of her eye. Florence’s normal smile had become a frown, it was like this every time she saw Samuel. No one knew that these two hated each other except Rose. Samuel stared right back at her with the same unpleasant look.
“What are you looking at?” He yelled at her, “Shut up Samuel! Miss Rose is sleeping, stupid!” she nearly yelled but she said loudly instead. “Make me,” Samuel responded rudely.
“Oh I’ll make you!” Florence quickly pulled out two butcher knives, she began charging at Samuel. Loud noises were made as the two clashed. Lawrence immediately heard the noise, he quickly slipped on his suit and rushed down the steps, he saw that Florence and Samuel were in the middle of a fight.
Lawrence stared at the two for a moment then he yelled at the two “Samuel! Florence! You two should be acting civilized in this manner!” they immediately stopped fighting.
They turned to stare at Lawrence. “I will tell Rose if necessary” Florence’s eyes widened in fear, “P-Please don’t tell Rose.” she begged, ‘If he tells Rose I will be in trouble, I might lose something special if he tells her. She doesn’t get mad often or really ever but if she hears that we were fighting we would be in trouble big time and I do not want to see her angry’ the maid thought in terror.
“Uh, I won’t mention it to her because I don’t want to see her angry either ” Lawrence said to the two before he headed back up to bed. “This is all your fault R- I mean Florence,” Samuel spoke quietly. “Be careful what you say, Samuel.” She scolded him with a death stare. They walked away from each other.
