Why do I like music so much?
I JUST DO OK!
JK! Today I'm actually going to answer a question that many of you have asked me:
"Why do you like music so much?"
Well, I always grew up listening to music. The car radio was always on Klove or another Christian station. I just got used to listening to those artist's, including SwitchFoot and TFK.
Several years later, I got into this artist called TobyMac. He was real great! He was the first musician I ever liked, and his album "Eye On It" was the first CD I ever owned.
I LOVED IT. I probably couldn't go a day without listening to it. TobyMac opened up a whole new world to me - music.
So, several years later, I was still into music. In 2016, my grandfather died... It was very sad and hard for me to believe. So, the day he died, my family packed up and went out of state to my grandmother's house. That day, we met up with my uncle, also a huge music fan. He gave me a huuuuge under-the-bed-box full of CD's!
I loved it!
So, while searching through them later that day, I found 2 albums called "Hello Hurricane" and "The Beautiful Letdown" by some band called "SwitchFoot".
Back then I knew nothing about them, so I played the two CD's...
I loved them (and still do!)! I listened to them every day out of state, and it really grew on me. It helped me through a hard time.
Music has always helped me through hard times. When my great uncle died, Live It Well by SwitchFoot reminded me not to be sad, for my great uncle lived life well.
In 2017, I started messing around with my own music... My first few tracks stunk, but I think my latest tracks are a lot better. Once again, it grew on me. I had a passion now. To make music and praise God...
I call myself on my albums, BandLab and SoundCloud: "ZAM:usic". Its my stage name. Making music gives me joy, and I love doing it.
So, why do I like music so much?
1: it has helped me through hard times
2: it's an outlet for me, for anger, frustration, and other things
3: with music I can be creative
4: i know this is the talent God has given me for a purpose
5: music has shown me many important things, especially SwitchFoot.
I could say many other things, but I don't wanna bore you. Thanks for reading, feel free to comment!
