“Wait, it's September 15th already??!!?”
Yep, it surely is. To you, this may not be any fancy date, but to me, it is. Why is it so special? Because it's when I started my first song, Stop Talking And Listen, a year ago!
I remember when I started it. I literally had no idea what I was doing, I was just starting out with music. I was just “messing around”, when I noticed I had made a good beat. “Hey, that sounds pretty good…”. And the rest is history. The song kept building up, until it was finished. Then I was ready to create “Living In A World Of Strange Dreams”, which was originally called “Wait, What?” It still remains my favorite song from that album to this day. Its so simple, it was basically 8 samples, just repeated and edited a lot. I worked on a bunch of other tracks after finishing that, and my most favorite (“the ones you would fight for to get on the album”, according to Jon Foreman), songs and mixes from the session were included on the album. Almost all of the unreleased songs were released on “The Unreleased Songs Of “Stop Talking And Listen””.
After the entire album was completed, I continued mixing new songs. The next 3 songs created were called “Running Out Of Time (only made as a demo, never released)”, “A Travel Through Time”, and “Can You Hear Me?”
Neither one of them were actually included on an album (neither do I plan to put on one), so decided to release them as singles on the same day.
After that, I started on other new songs, which aren't worth mentioning, because they were never released.
A couple of months later, I started remixing MARIELA’s song, “Magic”. It was the first remix that I have ever made, and I am rather happy with how it turned out.
Then I started sessions for “Man vs. Machine”, which will be the name of my next album. The album takes a totally different direction than Stop Talking And Listen did, for this album is EDM/Hard Rock/Progressive House/Indie Rock/Electro, among many other genres!
Once I completed 3 tracks, I released the I D E N T I T Y EP.
Well, I am not here to bore you by telling you all I have done this past year, I am here to say something else:
Thanks to everyone, the listeners, the collaborators, the friends, and the supporters. I really appreciate all that you do, and it has helped make this possible!
So, as a way to celebrate, I am releasing a new compilation album:
“1: A Collection”
This new album will show you all of my favourite (plus some fan favourite) songs that I have made this past year, plus some never before heard material!
