This is a Bioshock AU that I originally came up with (hopefully)
Welcome to Rapture, a city at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, where the great will not fear the small, the artist shall not fear the censor, and science isn--oh, there goes Atlas. It's 1960 and Jack Ryan does not exist.
Rapture is still neck deep in civil war, and the few sane people are in hiding from the sick and sadistic Splicers, gone crazy by their obsession of beauty and changing their DNA by the help of ADAM, harvested from a type of sea slug.
The shortage of ADAM causes little children wander the halls, guarded by large, bumbling protectors. They harvest the DNA changing substance from the angels (corpses).
Andrew Ryan has locked himself in Hephaestus, while Atlas is rounding up the sane people and creating a new society. Will you survive in the broken city?
