Hello and welcome to 'The Scratch Art Gallery'!
✿I wanted to start a gallery to display the artistic talent of a variety of people on Scratch!
✿How this is going to work, is that anyone can curate, but I will also appoint managers who will decide on what projects will be displayed in this studio gallery!
✿Anyone can leave comments with the link of a project that they would like considered to be added to the gallery, and if a manager (who will be called an 'Art Critic'), likes it, they will either love/favourite it and add it to the studio.
(Info. on how to apply to become an 'Art Critic' will be further down the description).
✿There will also be an artist of the month, and the theme of the month which the Art Critics will vote on. (Although if this studio becomes popular it will become weekly).
The winners will get shout-outs in the studio description, and Art Critics will give the projects a love, and possibly a favourite if they really like the project. I will also follow the artist if I'm really impressed with their art composition!
(Theme of the month is at the bottom of the studio description).
✿Art is not limited to just drawings or paintings etc.
Why not be creative and add things like wordart, collages etc.
✿Please, don't add remixes unless you've changed A LOT of what the original project was before
✿Do you think you're not good enough to win? Don't worry! There is also an 'Up and Coming' artist category for the most promising, improved or artist who deserves encouragement!
✿This is all to promote the art and talent of people of varying abilities, although good quality art pieces are encouraged more.
Curators are allowed to:
-Suggest pieces of art to add
-Add ONE of their art compositions to the studio
-Apply to be an Art Critic
Art Critics, (Managers) are allowed and/or required to:
-Add suggested art compositions to the studio
-Leave a love/fave for every project they add and for the winners of each month
-Leave feedback for artists
-Edit the studio description when necessary (including words of encouragement and inspiration at the bottom of the studio description)
-Vote each month/week for the artist awards
-Be reasonably active
-Add 10 of any of their art compositions to the studio!
HOW TO APPLY:
To become an Art Critic, you need to agree with the terms, comment and submit a piece of your artwork and have it accepted, (although if you are not an artist, you can just tell me, and not submit an art composition), and then tell me why you want to be an Art Critic and what you'll bring to the team. Also suggest a theme for the month. I will get back to you as soon as I can!
(CLOSED! But if you would like to apply, just ask so I know to consider opening the slots again after a while)
THEME OF THE MONTH:
Submit an art piece with this theme (anything to do with the Sun) and be in the running to become the theme artist of the month!
ARTIST OF THE MONTH:
Submit ANY art composition to be in the running to become the 'Artist of the Month'!
UP AND COMING ARTIST OF THE MONTH:
Submit ANY composition and be in the running to become the 'Up and Coming Artist of the Month'!
Remember that you may add ANY art project; they don't need to fit in with the theme but if they do it is just a bonus. :)
Good luck, feel free to ask questions and get creating!
COMMENTS FROM THE OTHER ART CRITICS:
"Never say that your art is bad. We all start someplace. Keep practising (Ew we hate that word, don't we) and be happy with your art! Take challenges, enter contests, try out new software, make an OC, or even adopt a new art style! It's your beautiful art, so remember to keep remembering that it is."
"Don't give up on your art, if you keep trying you will improve. Art is something that anyone can do if you give it a go and believe in yourself. Take chances and risks and in the end it might be worth it. There will always be challenges but there will often be a way to solve things and keep going. "
Don't worry if your art isn't good enough, keep trying and you'll get better!~
"Art needs patience. You need to be patient with each piece, and put real effort into each part of it. You also need to be patient with your skill, and be willing to try again for as many times as it takes."
