You awaken on a stone table of sorts. Your clothes are thin, and you are very cold. All four of your limbs are strapped down tightly. The only light is a bright white one right above your head, but you can't really see anything else. Someone moves above you, several people conversing in hushed voices. They move closer, and you fade away into unconsciousness once more.
When you come around once more, you are lying on a small bed. It's not very uncomfortable and pretty hard. You stand up, still fairly cold. It is here that you meet someone who explains why you've been yanked from your home in the dead of night and brought to this place... wherever this place is. You learn that you have been kidnapped in a kingdom by the name of Kastelle, your home, to the King's property. It and the opposing kingdoms Cerianne, Eraeth and Quireth are engaged in a decade-long war in which none are prevailing, and Kastelle wants to win. King Aethir, the primary ruler of Kastelle, has initiated a plan: to take promising persons from your world and place them upon the Sacred Altar and alter them, giving them changes and powers that make them perfect soldiers for the army.
Then you are tested. You find out what changed, what powers you have. But when you are brought before King Aethir, he explains that your power is too destructive and too powerful to be one of his loyal soldiers. Instead you are to be part of a small group: his personal assassins, too dangerous to be unleashed in full force. And if you are reluctant to comply, you are, for lack of more polite but accurate words, persuaded to. Armed guards escort you to a different building. All the rooms are slightly different. You may share a roommate or two, but every few weeks or so you are moved to a different room. Occasionally you are sent on dangerous missions in pairs or groups of three for the King: Assassinations, sabotage missions, theft, or subduing his enemies. The rest of the time, you are trained, taught to obey, and waiting.
There is no way out. Everyone has tried. Everyone has failed.
You sigh. This is your new life. You are one of us now.
Hiiiiiiii people! Welcome to the Altered RPG, a collaboration RPG between @Alida7232 and @Codingmistress. So... um... we should probably get into this :3
- No powerplaying
- Keep it appropriate- remember that all sorts of people will visit this studio
- No OP characters
- Be nice :)
-One power per character, try to be specific about the power
-Age should be from 10 to 18
-Try to keep appearance relatively normal, though you can have small unnatural aspects due to the Altar
-Sorry, but no escaping
-Your characters have to be human unless shape-shifter
-Please fill out all the required parts of the form-- I'll let the past ones slide, but from now on, please do
-Technology is advanced, but culture, government, and language is that of medieval nature
- Codeword is "Scapegoat", have it somewhere in your bio
-Uniforms vary based on power but the basics: elastic clothing, minimal accessories, and thin, flexible shoes, baroque style for formal occasions
-Wait to be accepted before RPing, Alida or Coding will tell you what your emblem will be based on your character (the emblem is a symbol representing a character and is usually on the uniform's belt and is used to label stuff for the character)
-No projects aside from projects about your character(s) or emblem(s), other projects will be deleted
-Keep romance to kissing and below
-The code name of your character is a name that they use in public after doing the king's work-- make it sound awesome! It's usually related to their power and/or personality-- and it's more of a title than a code name, like if you bring a building down or something and people go "Oh, The Reaper has been here" or something
-FOLLOW THE RULES!
Name // Code Name // Age // Gender // Appearance // Power // Skills // Flaws // Backstory (optional) // Other
Any questions? Ask away in the comments!
