Have you ever heard someone calling a person that had a different body shape something rude? That's called body shaming.

In today's culture, advertisements, social media, pop culture, celebrities, and even fast food chains can cause us to question our body shape or size.

Commenting about someone's looks or weight can cause more serious, personal problems that others don't even realize, such as eating disorders and depression.

    Of the Weeks:

Quote of the week: “I'm not going to sacrifice my mental health to have a perfect body." - Anonymous

Question of the week: What is one thing you can do about body shaming?

    — — —

    Studio Rules:
1.) Body shaming is strictly forbidden. If you are found saying rude things about other's bodies (e.g. other scratchers, celebrities) you will be reported.
2.) No homophobic, transphobic, racist, or hateful comments or projects allowed.
3.) Anyone can curate, just ask :) trusted curators will be promoted only.
4.) Managers, please don’t change thumbnails or description without my permission ( @roseteaa)
5.) Don’t say anything that can’t be backed up by proof :)

    Body shaming comments to avoid:
1.) “You’re so brave for wearing those clothes/going to the gym”. This is like you’re saying the norm is for people with different body types is to hide away and be scared,
2.) “You’re not fat, you’re beautiful.” This suggests that you can’t be both, which is untrue.
3.) “You’re so lucky you can eat whatever you want without getting fat.” Let others eat what they want, and don’t butt into their dieting, It’s not your business, sorry.
