Everything Prompts - A Writing Competition
(temp hiatus until the judges join the disc or they're going to commit ouch getting fired burns)
Hey there, strangers! Welcome to Everything Prompts, a writing competition being hosted by @THEEWOLVERINE! Sadly, this studio is still a work in progress, as this idea is new and still being developed. We have set the basic rules, though!
You will be judged based on:
Backup Judge -
An IRL Friend
Ask for more information on our disc. server!
5 judges. 100 mainstream points max. 25 bonus points attainable. 20 points per judge. Effort, creativity, innovation. Every aspect of your stories will be judged thoroughly. Stories that are scored 25 mainstream points and below have a large chance of failing.
There will be three rounds. In each round, the judges will weed out who gets to make it to the finals based on quality.
Categories and Prompts
There will be five categories in total. Each have a variety of prompts you can select to write about.
Variety - This category contains a variety of completely, utterly random prompts that are extremely vague. By that, I mean they won’t specify anything in particular, so if you want to write freestyle, the Variety category is the way to go.
Comedic - This category is literally just ‘try to make the readers laugh.’ If you want to write something funny and have a blast doing it, then we understand if you want to swing in this direction.
Judge Responsibility -
5 categories and 5 judges. It's not a coincidence. Each judge will be releasing one project containing the prompts of a category they choose. Of course, we all contribute to different parts of the competition, but it's the categories we add on to the most.
Judges have the responsibility of managing our disc servers and answering any questions, as well as adding on to prompts and helping with development.
And yes, judges can be fired. Why? Either for inactivity, irresponsibility, or lack of effort in general. Yes, judges can resign too. I’m only threatー *cough cough* ー I mean, uh, forcing. . . a. . . lucky two or so to stay.
