This is a reboot of an RP on my other account called Waveclan RP. However, I did add a few changes to spice things up. If you had a character in the old version of the RP, please make the bio here, plus more if you want.
If you already have a character and are reading this, the sign-ups and the non-permanent character storage is located at the link below:
History of the RP:
The founders of Waveclan were the first cats to ever settle on the shores of the ocean. Their old home was much bigger and was by a lake, but they adapted. Now, three more clans stand beside them. Treeclan, Boulderclan, and Grassclan are just as proud to call this place their home. Join these clan cats on their adventure of finding their true selves. Nothing stays the same...
About the Clans:
These cats have settled by the ocean. They are skilled at catching fish that swim in the shallow waters and at catching varieties of shore birds (sand pipers, plovers, avocets, and stilts). Their only fresh-water source is a stream that splits off from the main river. It then travels towards their camp, which is in an underground, stone cave. The cave is apparently underwater too, as salt water drips down from the ceiling. The fresh water streams runs into a miniature waterfall and pools into camp. Waveclan cats are very calm and patient.
Being the first clan that was established after Waveclan, these cats chose a forest of she-oaks to live in. These thin-leafed trees grow in the sand dunes of their territory. Treeclan cats are very determined. They eat mice, shrews, and many shore birds (list provided in Waveclan description). This clan doesn't like being average and will almost always make sure everything perfect. Their camp is under a very large boulder that rises from the ground, leaving a gap underneath. The fresh-water stream that gives Waveclan water also runs through here. It is faster flowing though at this location.
This clan was the third to be formed. They live in a open field that has some sand dunes scatted about the territory. Their water comes from the upstream at the delta, where the water is fresh. These cats hunt rabbits, mice, shrews, and some birds. They are well-collected cats and are thoughtful. Their camp is located in a sandy dip where coastal grass hide it and grass trees shelter it, along with a few rocks.
Being the last to be formed, this clan is also the farthest from all the territories. Their territory is a slope that leads towards the mountains. It is somewhat grassy, but is mostly just scattered rocks. Water comes from the river, where they fish. These cats are skilled at catching fish, rabbits, and small birds. The slope is very uneven, so they have to be careful when leaping after their prey. They are very secretive and defensive of everything they have, but they are also hard workers.
Gatherings & Aging:
~ Gatherings occur every Monday, which is also when cats age up. It is not mandatory to attend. The gathering is role played in separate chains. Anyone can go, unless they are a queen, or kit. Young apprentices can attend with their mentors.
~ Cats age up in moons, also known as months. To shorten that time, cats will age up every week by one moon. Queens must be pregnant for at least 2 weeks in order to have kits. 0-6 moons means you are a kit. 6-15 moons means you are an apprentice. 15+ moons make you a warrior. Medicine cat apprentices receive their full name when they turn 18 moons. By 20 moons, you can have a mate and kits. By 100 moons, you have the option to retire. If not dead by 192 moons, you will die and then go to Starclan or the Dark Forest.
1.) Be fair in battle. Give the other person a chance to respond.
2.) No being over-powered. No small cats can take down a bigger one without trouble. Also, no apprentice or kit can kill a skilled warrior instantly. Think logically.
3.) Ask the owner of the character before you maim or kill them. You don't need to ask to injure, though, if you do it in a fair way.
4.) Please be realistic. Think about how you would react if you were a cat in the wild.
5.) You may only start out with one high-ranked character. However, you can make as many cats as you want. That doesn't mean that if you already have a high-ranking cat, your lower-ranked ones cannot rise in the ranks in the future.
6.) If you are a leader or medicine cat, be active! I will try my best to remind you. This also applies to deputies.
