Hello! Welcome to the official 'Keilani' studio!
For those of you who don't know, 'Keilani' is a book @ArtGirl_17 is writing! I will leave that in a project somewhere.
Keilani walked through the too-big-to-be-ours kitchen, and into the equally large living room. There was a large white-gray sofa on one of the walls, and a large coffee table in front of it. The movie-size flatscreen TV sat on the wall, and underneath, a table. One of the walls was made of pure glass. Double doors led to a balcony where you could overlook the city.
Keilani did like it there in the mansion, but she did not like the people living there. There was Angela, her adoptive stepmother, and Karen, her stepsister. They were terrible. Angela had Keilani do all of the chores, for two reasons only: she was not an Earthen, and she had a secret.
She came from across the solar system, from Neptune. Neptunians had to adapt to the cold weather, it is very, very, very cold. To be exact, around -353 degrees fahrenheit. They developed thicker skin that was blue. She’s not allowed to go anywhere without putting on a TON of concealer. She also has a thing that Neptunians developed where they can tell if someone is lying. It comes in handy… but sometimes, she wishes she didn’t have it. Sometimes, ignorance is better.

She finished putting on the concealer over her white freckles and slipped on her boxy glasses with cargo pants and a plain T-shirt, then brushed her hair, careful to cover up her unnaturally pointed ears that she didn’t get to cover up with the concealer.
She ran a repair booth in town square, so she went every Sunday. Today was that day, so she stood up from her makeshift vanity in her tiny nearly closet-sized room, and headed out.
Her booth was the average size, with a faded number plate, and a lot of boxes in the back filled with android parts, PlumPad necessities, etc. She rolled up the door and stepped inside.
She picked up a box of android parts, a small, pear shaped body with two arms. “Oh Lapis, I’ll fix you soon.” She said softly, to herself. Setting down the box, she bent down under the table to fix her pants so the- y covered up her blue ankles. She was about to finish when she heard a knock on the table. Sitting up, she bumped her head on the underside of the table. She sat up and rubbed the back of her head. “Ouch.” She mumbled, grimacing.
She looked up and grinned.
Standing in front of her was Charity, her absolute best friend. Her long dirty blonde hair was pulled into the highest ponytail Keilani ever saw. She was wearing jean shorts and a purple tank top, with black sandals and a pearl bracelet. “Hey Lani, I have a PlumPad on the fritz.” She said. “Ok, I’ll take a look.” Keilani replied, and held out her hand. Charity set her pad into it and Keilani flipped it so she could see the control panel. Charity watched as she grabbed a screwdriver and opened the small panel in the back of the pad, revealing the internal control panel. “Oh, I see the problem.” Keilani said, turning the PlumPad so Charity could see.
Charity’s eyebrow rose. “What?”
“Here,” -She pointed to a grease splotch- “The control panel has a bit of grease on it, so It would malfunction.” Charity nodded in agreement. “So, I’ll just get that replaced and it should work good as new.”
“Alright, when do you think you’ll be done?”
“Well, I need to fix Lapis, so… In around a week.”
“Ok, I’ll see you next week then?”
“Yeah, we- I’m here every market day.”
“Do you need payment up front?”
“No, that’s alright, I’ll give you the best-friend-treatment.”
“Ok, bye Lani.” They gave each other a wave and Charity walked over to Molly Dimera’s bakery booth. Her booth always gave the square the lovely scent of sticky buns.
Keilani turned to the box of android parts and set it on top of the table. “I think it’s time to start on you.” She said to herself. She bent down to pick it up, and set it on the table. When she looked up, she froze.
Dropping the android parts underneath the table, she stood up to provide a simple bow to Karen, standing in front of her booth. “Hi Karen.”
“Hi… Well, my android is malfunctioning again.” Karen set an android similar to Lapis onto the table. “You better fix this, or you know what mom will say.”
Keilani rolled her eyes. “Ok will do, but i’ll have to charge you.”
“I’m just kidding. Stars, lighten up.”
“Just work on her, ok?”
“Yeah I will.”
“Good.” She walked away, but not before dropping her android onto the edge of the table. Keilani barely caught it before it toppled off the table. She glared at her stepsister’s back as she walked away. She wrote down in her own pad what she had to do, she just got here and already she had three things.
Charity’s PlumPad (by end of week)
She huffed and put her pad away, once again grabbing Lapis. “Ok, do I get to work on you now?" She set the box on the table.
