So, my dog Wesley found a baby mockingbird in the bushed while we were eating. He pawed at it and scared it. Then, the adult mockingbirds were chirping loudly and angrily. The bird went into the bushes. We tried to find it. When everyone gave up, i said we had to find it and make sure it was okay. We shouldn't abandon it. So, i got a jacket and put it on because i didn't want spiderwebs to get on me when i crawl into the bushes. Also, i got 1 towel. We found it in the bushes but it ran away. My mom was going to give up, but i encouraged her not to. Then, she went inside to get 2 more towels. Then, she went out with my dad. I told my dad where we last saw the bird and he got it. My dad held it but it bit him. Then, i held it and it cawed a bit; scared. But then i petted it's soft head and then it calmed down. It stared at me and stayed still. After we took a pic (which the studio pic isn't the one we took.) we set it down and put our dog inside. Then, later the birds calmed down. We think the parents found the baby. We saw the baby safe in a corner.
I'll never forget this experience.
