Chapter one:

Ravenclaw raced through though the forest. His sleek fur dripped wet from the rain. "I'm coming Willowshine!" He cried as he dashed though the trees. He pelted though the forest. He raced to her and landed gracefully at her side. "Are you alright?! What's the matter?!" He said desperately.
Willowshine looked at him, Her eyes clouded with pain and despair. "Oh Ravenclaw!" She breathed. "I don't know if you made it on time!" She cried.
Ravenclaw gasped. "What happened?!" He asked worriedly.
Willowshine looked at him and fell to the ground. "I think...." She stammered. "I have a thorn in my pad!" She told him, putting one paw over her forehead.
Ravenclaw gasped. "OH NO!" He said dramatically. Put his teeth on the thorn and took it out of Willowshine's paw. "Better?" he asked.
Willowshine purred. "Precisely."

Chapter 2:

Ravenclaw woke to the sound of the Dawn patrol being called. He yawned as he padded out of his den for the dawn patrol. He blinked lovingly At the though of his mate, Willowshine. Willowshine was plump with their kits last time he had saw the Pineclan she-cat and Ravenclaw could hardly contain his excitement. He missed his mate. *How will this work?!* he thought with a shiver. *We are in different clans and I want our Kits to grow up knowing who their father is!*
"Let's look at the Pineclan border!" Cloudstar said at the head of the patrol. "Dewfeather reported seeing a Pineclan warrior chase a squirrel over the border yesterday,"
Cloudstar told them.
Ravenclaw nodded as they approached the Pineclan border. "Let's reset the markers then!" He suggested. The other warriors nodded and spread out to set the markers. Poppystar appeared on the other side of the border with her warriors.
"Good day Cloudstar!" She called.
"Indeed," Cloudstar responded. The Lakeclan Warrior's fur bristled.
"She acts so innocent!" hissed Mossheart of Lakeclan.
"I'm sure SHE was not the one to step over the border." Ravenclaw said. "Poppystar would never! She is a good leader."
Mossheart grumbled and turned back to listen to the leader's conversation.
Ravenclaw searched through Poppystar's patrol. *Is Willowshine here?* He wondered. On the other side of him, Ravenclaw's patrol was slipping into the river to fish. Ravenclaw sighed and Waded in after them.
Cloudstar dived under the water and came back with a fish. Ravenclaw did the same, His wet and sleek pelt slipping through the water like an otter.

When the patrol arrived back at camp, Ravenclaw padded to the fresh-kill pile to put down his prey. Cloudstar leaped onto high rock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, Gather here under High rock to here what I have to say!" He called into the clearing.
Ravenclaw sighed and walked over to high rock. "What now?" he wondered.
"Meadowbreeze has had her kits!" Cloudstar announced. "They are called, Riverkit, Wavekit, and Otterkit!" He said. Ravenclaw looked at the kits with a purr. He Imagined what his kits would look like and what their names would be. "When they become Apprentices, Ravenclaw will mentor Riverkit, Memorysong will mentor Wavekit, and I will mentor Otterkit!" Cloudstar said.
Ravenclaw's heart skipped a beat. *What?!* He thought. *I can't mentor a apprentice right now! what if I join Pineclan or Willowshine joins Lakeclan?! What if we leave the clans?* He thought. *Leave the clans?!* Ravenclaw considered this for a moment. A thump at in his throat. *we wouldn't even consider that? Would we...* He though.
"Ravenclaw! Ravenclaw!" Cloudstar said, growing impatient. "Do you accept?" He asked.
Ravenclaw swallowed. "Um..." He looked at the cats waiting for his answer. Riverkit looked at him with wide eyes. "Yes... I do." Ravenclaw said softly.
"Good, Then Meeting dismissed!" Cloudstar said, leaping off highrock. Ravenclaw watched him go. *What Will I do now?!* he thought.
