There has always been some backlash on Scratch about muting people, and how unfair the Scratch team handles things.
I agree that the way the muting system is handled is unfair.
But isn't the Scratch team's fault!
Hear me out. I know it sounds a little crazy, especially coming from someone's who been blocked.
Muting is monitored by a computer system. No human is going to sit in front of a computer screen all day, monitoring thousands of accounts and seeing which ones do wrong. Unless Scratch has some sort of giant budget to pay their employees, which (no offense) I doubt.
The muting system is programmed with phrases and words that are generally known as innapropriate. If you put one phrase that is the same as another, innapropriate or not, it will think its not ok for Scratch and will not let you post it.
If it lets something actually bad (or not for kids of all ages) slip through, you'll usually get a notification asking you not to do that again. If you don't get anything about
