Just some things that annoy/anger me when it comes to roleplay characters on Scratch.
-When the character doesn't fit in the rp at all
Examples: a character that's supposed to be a normal human secretly has magical powers, a hybrid being in a rp where hybrids don't logically exist
-When a character randomly enters a rp in a completely absurd way
Example: A character walking by and watching casually while the other character is being violently beat up
-Ship characters/self inserts in fandom rps
While I don't hate self inserts at all and think they're fine, it's not okay to me if you go on to ship them with a canon character
-OP characters that are OP for no reason
Ex:A character who can dodge everything or has powerful unstoppable moves for no good reason.
-Characters with an inconsistent or absent personality
Ex: Characters that go from enemies to best friends with another character in no time at all for no valid reason.
Ex:Often self inserts or characters just made to have the special ability in the rp. Often bullied or loners, but are great if you just 'give them a chance'. 'Not like the others'
-Joke characters that exist for nothing else than to ruin a rp and mess up the setting
Ex: A character shattering the mood in a otherwise serious scene by cracking jokes or breaking the fourth wall
Ex: A large or muscular character being dumb, or a girl being fashionable. (Doesn't upset me too much, but can be insulting and make for bland characters)
Ex: Characters misusing "Baka" "Kawaii" "UwU" "Owo" "Senpai" or "Weeb". (Downright insulting to many real-life people and cringy for other rpers to deal with.)
-Characters with mental conditions or disabilities being portrayed in the wrong way
Ex: A mentally ill character being a killing machine, or an anorexic being seen as "scary" (This very much upsets me. I hate it when the insane or mentally ill are shown as violent and dangerous beasts. Completely inaccurate and insensitive to actual ill people)
Ex: A character who's always sad and scarred, but is instantly cured when they meet a person (This is a completely wrong way to portray depression. If you don't know how it works, please don't roleplay it)
I'm sorry if I come off as angry. I needed something to do and might have gotten too passionate about it.
