So obviously, coronavirus is affecting us all, worldwide, and it's a scary time. I'm sure it's a similar situation for all of you as well, but all of my dance classes, rehearsals, shows, and classes have been cancelled and postponed. I won't be back in school for another 5 weeks and I'm transitioning to online schooling, which is tough. So I thought, while we're all quarantined, why not start a studio to chat and support each other through these tough times! Please no insensitivity of any kind. This will not be tolerated.
Things to do when you're bored:
1.) Test your geography skills with Seterra.com.
2.) Explore history using Khan Academy, Crash Course videos, or find a podcast you like.
3.) Write a piece of fiction or a poem.
4.) Take a virtual tour of a historic location or museum.
5.) Read a historic document or short story.
6.) Journal...you are living through a unique time and I am certain when you are older that having a primary source of your experience will be valuable to you. ******Do not do this if it causes you anxiety.
7.) Read a book
8.) Go for a long walk
9.) Make some "open-when" letters (ex. Open when you're happy/sad/angry etc.)
10.) Clean your room
11.) Do workouts to keep yourself fit.
12.) Bake some delicious desserts
13.) Binge movies and tv shows
14.) Code a new project on Scratch
15.) Have a solo dance party (or with your siblings/parents/pets)
16.) FaceTime/Skype/WhatsApp Video your friends
17.) Catch up on sleep
18.) Learn a new language or study one you're learning
19.) Play a video game of your choice (ones like ROBLOX where you can socialize are even better)
20.) Play a board game with your family
21.) Play with your pet(s) if you have any
22.) With parent permission, make a pen pal
23.) Start a bullet journal or keep up with your current one
24.) Watch YouTube
25.) Keep up with your hobby
26.) Do a research project on an interesting topic instead of the things you have to do in school
27.) Do a virtual or real life science experiment
28.) Do yoga/stretches/meditation
29.) Go in your yard or on your porch (if you have one and your state/country allows you)
30.) Take some personality quizzes
31.) Work on writing a book or start writing one
32.) Draw/paint/color something
