Welcome to the Words of Advice, the sequels to the Messages of Hope. They're a little different, but the same basic idea- a message I need to share with you all.
How well if your life going right now? Imagine it as a test- go ahead and grade yourself. There's some studying and extra credit you can do for the next evaluation, but let's start with a base test. What grade did you get?
0-10 - No, you didn't get a 0. That would be if God didn't exist and you and everyone you loved were slowly and excruciatingly dying, physically and emotionally, as you watch the apocalypse. No one has ever gotten a 0, so go ahead and give yourself some extra points there.
10-30 - If you gave yourself a score this low, you need to do some extra credit for the next evaluation. This would be if hardly anything has gone right in your life. A Series of Unfortunate Events would be somewhere in the 20-30 range, if that gives you any idea. Try my Word of Advice, "Fallen Down"...
30-40 - Things aren't going well, are they? Things keep going wrong, over and over and over again. But it's okay. "We all have our dark corners through the past...but we'll make the light moments last." May I recommend my Word of Advice, "Before the Rainbow"?
40-50 - You're just below the line of a good life and a bad life. Things aren't going well, but they're going to get better. You're learning and working hard, and one day the sun will rise... Good job. You're on the right track to happiness.
50-60 - Your life is wavering between good or bad, but mostly good. You have your ups and downs, but you're generally privileged and/or hardworking; you're happy...sometimes. At least you feel safe, and loved. You're doing well.
60-70 - You're doing well, but not a whole lot has happened, good or bad. You're just kind of going with whatever life throws at you, and it's working...sort of. If you ask yourself whether you're happy, you would...probably say yes?
70-80 - Ah, well at least now you're passing! You identify as a "happy child", but your life isn't perfect. In fact, some things are REALLY hard to deal with...but you're dealing with them as well as you can. Keep climbing, you're doing great!
80-90 - Ah, good! You're very, very happy now. Everything is as it should be, and you're just enjoying life. You're brighthearted and make the best of the good and the bad, and things are going well for you- there isn't much bad after all! Congratulations on being in the place you are.
90-100 - Now, here's the thing. 100 is the highest of happiness, but the test is so hard that it's almost impossible to make an A without extra credit. I know, right? But what can be done? XD
Now, there are two ways to get a better grade. Studying (aka service) is hard sometimes, but it will actually make your life easier and your evaluation better. Extra credit (aka thankfulness) is easier, but it doesn't make you do better on the test, it just brings up your grade- all it does is make your life seem a little better.
Now that you're done with that, are you ready to take the test again?
So what is my word of advice?
"No matter what grade your life gives you, there are always ways to be happier."
