A long time ago, the entirety of existence was protected by two otherworldly guardian spirits. Everything was as is, separate, alone, and normal. Worlds didn’t collide out of themselves, magic didn’t exist where it wasn’t real, and reality didn’t exist where magic did. That was, until one spirit decided to make a choice that would change things forever. It decided that things would be better off together. Every world, universe, and galaxy together as one. But the other spirit disagreed. Orderly and together, it thought, would be better than collided chaos. The other spirit thought differently, believing that harmony and togetherness would bring everyone closer, and provide solutions towards all of their problems and worries. The different thoughts of the spirits resulted in a war between them. After- who knows how long- of fighting, the spirit wishing for harmony won, but at the cost of it’s partner’s life. While still being overtaken by grief, the spirit took it’s plan into action. It sculpted devices from thin matter. These devices were capable of transport between- well, fandoms and any other existing data, really. It’s said to have created The Hub as well, a place where every “Cyberperson,” as the spirit would call them, to live in harmony. But it forgot one thing. Even it’s partner’s true soul would live on throughout the great battle. Corrupted by hatred and anger, the soul of the orderly spirit would collapse into itself, becoming something that the spirits both would have sworn to destroy. Corruption. Laying down it’s life and donating /most/ of it’s power solely to The Hub, the harmony spirit ceases to exist, and perhaps will The Hub if something isn’t done to stop the Corruption. What is your destiny? Fight alongside friends and family, or choose to go rogue alongside the corruption, gaining more and more power as an individual? Now, having come millenniums into the future, the protection of The Hub has broken, and all “Cyber Guardians” were transported and trapped there to defend it off. Corruption lives among us, and it is up to Guardians to defend themselves and their friends- or, if they choose, to go along with the corruption’s idea of order.
This is a term used to describe (almost..?) any person who takes residence in The Hub- basically anyone in existence is one! Cyber Guardian is only a term to refer to people of the Good and Neutral alliances.
This is a term used to describe those of Evil alliance, anyone who helps the corruption become more powerful in The Hub. Most Hackers are deprived from cannon villains, but there are also a few OC Hackers as well. Hackers usually know how to hack using their devices- this is how they can project things HubWide as well as reigning control of the corruption as if it were an army.
It’s unsure exactly what corruption is, but Cyber Guardians see it as a being of pure evil and hatred- some, though, may understand and see that it’s only a creature of order and grief, maybe anger as well. Corruption appears as black smoke. To kill a small mass of corruption, you can use an arrow, a sword, or any form of attack, really. To kill a larger mass of corruption, you need to enter it from a weak spot and destroy the heart. Entering a corruption’s weakness is different from being eaten; when corruption eats you, it’s difficult to escape, and most come out severely weak and corrupted. Some, though, don’t make it out alive.
A term referring to someone who has been inflicted with corruption. Someone who is corrupted usually glitches out and whatnot. They have trouble controlling their emotions as well, and sometimes, having severe emotions harms not only others, but themselves.
