Welcome to the Ilvermorny Express.

(Because not much is know about the North American school, I'm guessing, making things up, and borrowing from Hogwarts. Please bear with me. This train thing is one of those things I'm borrowing/making up.)

In the Damen Blue Line Subway Station in Chicago, Illinois, students from across North America come and board a train heading for the famous Ilvermorny school. After exiting the no-maj train station via a side door in a welcoming booth, witches and wizards enter a magical train station with trains that can take them across the continent. Ticket booths are straight across from the entrance. The train to Ilvermorny is on Express Line 4.

Three months before, a letter appeared on your doorstep along with rumors running through town for a couple weeks. Rumors of a goblin.

The letter reads:
Dear Mr/Ms {insert character's name},
You have been accepted into the Ilvermorny School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please bring a journal, a change of clothing, a quill, ink (red is prefered), and, if you choose, one pet of your choice. Books, wand, and robes will be supplied at Ilvermorny.
The semester starts on September 1st. [this date is just when the school year starts RP time, RL time we'll be staring 2/20/20]

Rules:
1. Wait for a letter first. Sorry, not sending any more letters. You may ask here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/25849026/
2. If you want something special (e.g. werewolf, metamorphimagus), you must ask. I'm going to say no to animagus, sorry. It's too much work and you need a wand for it. If you're making a teacher, he/she can be an animagus, but you still have to ask.
3. Speaking of wands, in North America, to protect the wizarding community, wands are not received until enrollment. So NO WANDS YET. Thank you.
4. Two students, one male, one female. They must be in different houses. One teacher. Two teachers if you are a manager or I say yes.
5. No-Maj born witches and wizards are allowed into the school, but the parents believe that their child is going to a private boarding school not a magical one.
6. No RPing at Ilvermorny until later. You may RP at the train station.
7. If you are in the Hogwarts studio by @Hogwartsrebooted, please do not reuse your character.
8. Please don't make characters that are descents of characters from the movies. OC's like that just make my head hurt.
9. In North America there are rules against wizards and No-Maj's (muggles) marrying. This means no half bloods, sorry.

Both my school and that Hogwarts are in the same time period and happening at the same time. There may be an exchange program at some point.
