This is the original description before Spidey came back to the MCU:
Spider-Man has been removed from the MCU, thanks to Sony Pictures.
As you might know, Sony has the rights to Spider-Man, and to put Spider-Man in the MCU, Marvel had to sign a deal with Sony, saying Spider-Man can be on the MCU, but Sony gets 95% of the box office from his solo movies.
Lately, Marvel asked for Sony to change the deal so they share 50/50 of the box office, but Sony didn't agree, which lead to the deal ending.
Without the deal, Spider-man can't show up in the MCU, which means we won't get to see what happens after the Spider-Man FFH cliffhanger.
Tom Holland is likely to be out of the role, and Sony will probably just reboot Spider-Man for the 4th time.
