All around us, we see art. Art types and styles. A lot of people have a preference- what art styles they like. But why are those preferences- the same?
What I'm saying is, people appreciate some art styles over others. Most people here, and on other websites, will say "Great work!" and "Nice!" To semi-realistic, anime, and cute art.. But not others, like maybe cubist or abstract.
Maybe you can expand your horizons a bit. Explore some other styles! Maybe you'll feel more free, like using the camera, or the pottery wheel, or the pixel art program, more.
Please don't take this the wrong way! I'm not saying you should switch if you don't want to. Maybe just explore some new kinds of art!
If you feel comfortable drawing digital semi-realistic, keep up the good work! Just support other artists who may not have the same style.
Thanks for reading this, and please consider what I've said! Thanks again!
I support this so much. I'm a abstract-realism artist, and people often don't like my art (With the exceptions of a few, thank you!) calling it 'sloppy' or 'no effort put into it'. When I was thinking about principles and elements of art all throughout my piece, unlike some people. It's time for some respect. Thank you for reading.
