The newborn child, Hisako, opened her eyes slowly and softly, just like any child would. She smiled and turned to her brother, Kaito, and looked at him with her great, aqua-green eyes. He looked back with his deep, dark indigo eyes and they both smiled together.
“This is a waste of time! I should be with Satomi not these loud-mouthed creatures!” Osamu exclaimed, checking his watch.
“Don’t be so mean, they are only children. Besides,” the nurse said, “You are their father, so you need to learn to love them.” The sweet nurse picked up Kaito and he squealed as Hisako reached her blue-and-white tiny wings out to get her brother’s attention. They were part of the Air tribe, led by a mighty leader named Hiroto.
“Darn it, Hiroto what is it now!” Osamu puffed, his phone ringing as his wings flew open.
“Oh! Watch the medicine, Sir!” the nurse cried, her wings softly opening as she prayed the expensive tools wouldn’t fall.
Kaito looked sideways, his dark blue hair covering his face slightly as he watched his father leave. The nurse put him down, back with Hisako. She fled off to tell the children’s father to come back. They were alone, nothing but the room around them. Soon enough, Hisako drifted into a deep sleep, Kaito joining her peacefully.
People were everywhere. It seemed as if the sky was falling down on them. Suddenly, the mighty Takeshi stared at them.
“What’s going on?!” Satomi said, fire rushing down before her. Her soft grey wings curled in to protect her from the fire rushing down before her icy-blue eyes.
“SATOMI!” Osamu cried, rushing up to his horrified wife. “NO!” he screamed as a giant fireball crushed her, about a wings length away from Osamu. Takeshi walked up to Osamu, screaming sounding from every direction you could think of.
“Well Well, old Osamu is it?” Takeshi taunted, his hands flaring sparks every few seconds. “Who did my tribe just completely squish for you, dear? Oh, that’s right, dear old…” he stopped, his red eyes curving to slits, “Satomi!” he exclaimed, throwing a massive fireball at Osamu. He took to the sky, his indigo wings turning black at the tips.
Chaos- pure chaos everywhere.
><><><><><><><><><><><>< Hisako woke to the cold ground underneath her. She looked around and saw nothing but pure chaos. There was only her, Kaito, fire, and the platform they were sitting on. Everything else on their cloud top home was destroyed. Kaito stared in horror at the dead body of the nurse, his jaw slowly dropping. Hisako was staring at the faint shadow of the Fire Tribe exiting down the slope of Heaven’s Walkway onto the six-tribe mountain.
They were all alone- nobody to care for them, nobody to heal their dead parents. Kaito and Hisako’s eyes teared up, and they started crying. It was true; the sight of death was very depressing. Kaito turned his head, and he saw a figure. It wasn’t a piece of debris, nor was it a surviving building. He poked Hisako and she turned her head, also looking at the figure. It was walking towards them.
“Hey, we found someone- err, two someone’s,” the voice said, turning his head. “Let’s take them to the palace.” It was Hiroto- the leader of wind tribe. He had massive golden wings and a gem-encrusted crown. Since he found them, on that horrifying day, everything changed.
