UPDATE- I HAD TO DUPLICATE THIS STUDIO BECAUSE @_FLAWED_ WAS BLOCKED AND I WASN'T MANAGER.
-------------------------------------------------
As you guys can probably tell, it's going to be kind of hard to organize everything, and hard for everyone to know what they're doing.
So I made this studio for all the members.
(written by @flameheart360 )
As of 1/25/16
Secondly-
Nothing is scheduled to be worked on yet. I'm waiting for voice actors. Again, the casting call for the trailer is found at @flameheart360 . (aka voice auditions.)
I WILL CONSULT EVERY MEMBER WHEN SOMETHING IS IN THE MAKING. THANK YOU.
Third-
The trailer will be the first thing to be worked on. Since I already have the basic outline, this will be the easiest part. I won't need the script writers for this.
Fourth-
Non-script writers, ignore this.
I do have a basic story outline and a few ideas- I am one of the script writers. I will have to arrange a meeting somehow with the rest of the script writers to discuss how the first episode is going to go. Then, one person (probably me) will write the rough draft on a project titled "Rough Draft Episode One." Then, we will make a rotation where every script writer has one day to edit and revise the draft. (Taking turns- everyone has a certain day.) Hopefully timezones shouldn't be too much of a problem.
When everyone is satisfied with the rough draft, (I still encourage you to trade ideas for later episodes) I will write down the final copy, and then the animators begin.
The animators will probably take the longest. I'm not sure how the animators are going to work yet- I think it would be great if you guys animated frames out of basic outline sketches (one person makes key frames, one person adds in settling frames between the key frames) and I will (essentially) trace these outlines, adding fur/eyes/that kind of thing. The lineart animation will be found on a project titled "First Episode Animation", or you get the point.
Once we have the lineart, we switch over to coloring it.
Backdrop artists must reference the lineart animation. Animators may notate the setting the animation takes place in.
My odd jobs people- Create a description of each character's physical appearance. Reference the Casting Call Audition project. I'll make sure you got their descriptions right :)
The members who have chosen to color-
This is where it gets complicated. I use FireAlpaca and upload it to Scratch. FireAlpaca has the magic wand tool, where you can select a designated space, which might work for the coloring problem. Once the person selects the background with the magic wand tool, they can go over it with the eraser, which will leave the background transparent. You just have to remember not to use an air brush tool for the outline.
And the coloring (if saved in the correct format) when put into Scratch, should have a transparent background. You'll just have to do that for each frame.
I'll need to talk to you guys, but for now, it doesn't matter, because we still need voice actors.
Stay tuned! There will be activity in this studio when I post an update.
