Today is Cherry Picking day for my family!
This means that we pick cherries off of out cherry tree, wash them in an ice bath, pit them, and either freeze them or make them into jams and pie filling.
We grow sour cherries, which may sound too tart for your taste, (say that five times fast), but mashed to a pulp with a good lump of sugar, and they taste like HEAVEN!
We give out our cherries to our family and also sell them in our town.
