Is there any way to implement getting requests from websites?

As a person who uses Python for networking, and Scratch for quick proof of concepts, could there be any way to get requests from a website. For example, Python would look like: import requests requests.get('https://some-website.com')

There isn't a way in vanilla Scratch, and it's unlikely it'll be added in the future because it could be used in ways that violate the Community Guidelines

However there exist mods of Scratch that have blocks for making http requests
