Art Theives on Scratch: What's going on?

Dear Scratch Team:

I have been annoyed by “art theives” who, no matter what, steal other people's art and recolor it for no certain reason without giving credit. How can we stop art theives?

Thanks and good luck,

I apologize, but there's nothing to stop anyone from remixing. We have made it clear with the Scratch Team that remixing is an essential part of Scratch: eliminating it will do more harm than keeping it.

For now, if they refuse to give credit after being asked multiple times, you can use the Report tool on the project page to get a moderator's attention. However, don't flag every remix you see, because that may result in your account getting banned for falsely reporting projects.

The answer is simple. Report any remixes that have no changes.

As for the recoloring…. that is a change and qualifies as a remix. If they did not give credit, ask for credit. If they refuse or ignore you for a long time, report it.
