look at this pic ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

okay okay, just pretend like the “buy more editors” is “see more editors” because I don't feel like editing the HTML again. I was trying to get on your nerves anyway. LOL

“Buy”. I hope that never happens. The beauty of Scratch is that it is free to use for anyone; all you need is a computer with internet.

In my imagination each editor would cost fifty cents. Scratch would make millions off of it just for fifty cents.

Scratch should be and always will be free

(unless the US shutdown forces them to make things cost )

I do, in fact, have my own site; it's here.
I'm also working on a thing called Fetch. Look at it here!

Scratch should and always will be free unless Microsoft take over scratch charge £100 per project. I'll quit scratch if that ever happens. (fortunately it's unlikely)

And it was delicious! Play TBGs! Check out my Scheme Interpreter!

That, plus it makes no sense to sell editors in different languages. The live help chat will take a lot of attention and funding away from Scratch itself.

Scratch is a project of a group of people at a university, NOT a company.

Okay, i know it shouldn't be “buy”. but i thought that each editor should cost ten cents.

For small amounts of money, the pain is setting up a payment method, not the actual money.

The minute that Scratch starts charging for any part of their software or website is the minute I leave Scratch and never come back.

Disregarding the payed extras idea, does anyone else think that multiple editors isn't the way to go anyway? What benefit is there? It would be a ton of extra work and a maintainability nightmare.

While we're +1ing things, I +1 this.

Maintaining multiple projects is very painful. The only reason you would do that is to allow multiple devices to run it and the Scratch Team said they'll be moving to HTML5 eventually which should allow all common devices (mobile, laptop, desktop, maybe even TVs) to run it.

No wai

I find there no reason for scratch to charge people for anything

I've been listening to…
Ogre Battle // Queen // Queen II // Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Progressive Metal
Orion // Metallica // Master of Puppets // Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Instrumental
Damage Inc. // Metallica// Master of Puppets // Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal
Snow (Hey Oh) // Red Hot Chilli Peppers // Snow (Hey Oh) // Soft Rock, Acoustic
Who Wants To Live Forever // Queen // A Kind of Magic // Power Ballad, Soft Rock
I suggest you listen to…
For a influential playlist: Damage Inc and Orion. Both of these songs are part of the album that revolutionized heavy and thrash metal forever.

So, if you want to create a project, which choice would you rather make?

1) (no choice, make projects right away)
2) HTML5, Flash, or Java? Hmmm. (googles differences, comes back in an hour)
