Badly drawn racers is a one player multi-way scrolling car racing game. Featuring pretty decent physics, AI, different road surfaces, and other stuff!
This studio is to document the history of the improvements version by version.
I'm putting all the versions of this game in one place. I wish I'd been keeping separate versions from day one... But... Nevermind.
Why all the different versions? Well, in the professional software development world we have a thing called agile development, this is where you release often (the "sprint" is usually every week or two) with incremental improvements based on the customer's feedback from the previous release.
This continuous improvement methodology whereby features are added each cycle (or sprint) is widely practiced and not only allows for fast bug fixing but also brings the customer along and makes them feel like they're part of the software rather than the "Big Bang" approach with the somewhat outdated waterfall (or Prince) project management approach whereby everything is planned up front and then software is written and delivered in one big release.
I'm not going to be doing a release every two weeks, I'll be doing it as and when there's enough progress to justify a release!
So, feel free to suggest things, ask questions, or just throw insults if that's your thing!
