Welcome to this year’s Scratch Camp! Over the next three weeks, we’ll be imagining what “Scratch the Musical” could be.

During our first week of camp we will focus on creating characters. What characters might be in Scratch the Musical? You can create a heroine, a trusty sidekick, a talking animal, a villain, or anything else you can imagine!

When you create your character, please include at least three costumes and one script of code.

Having trouble getting started? You could…
- Think about characters you love and be inspired by them (does Steven Universe appear in Scratch the Musical?)
- Give your character different poses, emotional expression, or outfits
- Add animation or sound effects to your character
- Mix and match sprites from the sprite library to create your own character
- Make multiple characters who might be friends with each other
