Scratch works on phones and tablets! Everything here should work on a touch screen mobile phone or tablet without keys online! Android, Kindle Fire, Playbook, etc... sorry no Apple.

    Not everything will be added.

    Workaround for Apple, noFlash:
    http://snap.berkeley.edu

How to: despite Adobe canceled the support for Flash mobile .apk plugin you can still install an old version of http://goo.gl/KwL2N make sure your download source is Adobe.com and nothing else!!! Enable your phone temporarily to accept external sources for .apk installations. As this plugin no longer gets security updates never start your mobile Flash plugin on suspicious webpages.

To improve comments readability: One thread per user, additional repost please reply below nested posts, thanks! I moderate comments from time to time here as i want some kind of reference later.

Read user blizzari´s comments what worked for him. I tested some games with a seven inch Android tablet, Pig dice http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/1524612 runs fine, even a shooter written in 2007 works out of the box!

    Mobile programming hints:

If you want to make your projects work on tiny three inch screens
USE BIG SPRITES without transparent holes
AND use BIG TEXT for readability!
(Move far away from your screen, can you read it?)

Follow your mouse pointer on the screen with a finger, you see your finger hides your mouse pointer, therefore LESS PRECISE aiming and clicking. And your hand hides part of the screen.

(during my own short test June 2011: Clicking fixed buttons worked fine. Ongoing dragging the cursor without clicking works fine too: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Doglover63/1783945

Had no luck with ONE selected point and click shooter: taking the finger off screen in an attempt to click (fire) the mouse pointer went to the right bottom corner, while i took my finger off screen. By tapping the pointer moved back to my finger. This was disappointing in this game with missile sprites always following the mouse pointer to the corner: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/am-barry/7998 :) Everything else with this game worked awesome! Maybe it is a Android setting or projects need a minor remix letting target crosses disappear with a lag of 0.5 seconds or something like store mouse x,y position to virtual x1,y1 while mouse down )

A passionate scratcher looking for a new mobile should check and TEST in ADVANCE if his device of choice runs Scratch projects!
    #############
On many projects added first i did not check for flash compatibility or small screen size.
Thus will run on a standard notebook with a touch screen.
Some users update there projects from time to time, i cant keep track of this. If it does no longer play online with Flash and i notice :-/

Thanks to Paddle2see for featuring :)

Most comments relate to 2011 and 2012, 2013 devices are getting very cheap. Look for dual core or a used one with at least 1Ghz Cpu speed.

Once your Scratch app is running on your device, try the appinventor.mit.edu
